Dr Venkata Ramakrishnan is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist currently serving in senior roles at Hainsworth Acute Psychiatry Unit (Cumberland Hospital) and Parramatta Community Mental Health Centre. He is skilled in the management of mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, and substance use disorders, delivering biopsychosocial interventions within the NSW Mental Health Act framework.

Fluent in both English and Tamil, Dr Ramakrishnan promotes inclusive, culturally sensitive psychiatric care. As a RANZCP-accredited supervisor, he trains accredited and unaccredited psychiatry registrars and contributes to the education of medical students. He also provides independent psychiatric assessments for a range of legal, insurance, and government schemes.
